The Spy, the Scholar, the Saint, and the Artist

To my dear eight followers (and anyone else who may stumble upon this blog),
I'd like to tell you a little bit about the people I've created, a side effect of letting your mind wander too much, as I do. These people live in a time of war not yet come to pass. There are two sides, rich vs. poor, in a war that has lasted years. These women all happen to be on the same side, the side of the Vox Populi (voice of the people in latin) Army, fighting for freedom against the tyrannical Scarlett Knight, leader of the Scarecrow Corporation (still trying to think of a better name), a corrupt organization that once was formed to protect the government, has taken it over and claimed power over the United States.
Victoire Papillon/Papillon de Nuit: (far left) Born in the south of France Victoire is a former member of the Scarecrow Corp. who sided against them after being poisoned by her fiance (who was working for Scarlett). After being poisoned she was left to die in the street, but miraculously lived, taking refuge in the sewers of N.Y. until she recovered. Though the poison rendered her a bit spacey and psychotic, she is the Vox Populi's greatest spy, given her knowledge of sewer systems and her sneaky nature. She is also a highly irritable, chain-smoker, and is the one and only ally to the pirates of the merchant ship,"The Katherine"who generally remain neutral to the war.
Artemis T. Powell: (to the right of Victoire) Also an ex- Scarecrow member, but took a little longer to cross over to the Vox Populi, due to the fact that her parents were Scarecrow members. She finally did about a year into to war, after the love of her life was supposedly killed in battle. Upon hearing this news she gave herself a very dramatic haircut to hide her identity and left for good. Artemis was raised as an only child in a very rich family, therefore she dresses and carries herself in a very regal way, in other words she still looks very much like a Scarecrow member. She is also one of the most intellectual minds on the Vox Populi council, having been put through an ivy league education, she aids the General a great deal in making battle plans. A solitary woman, Artemis spends most of her time in an abandoned flower shop where she lives reading, researching, and dwelling on the past.
Delaynie Ross: The unfortunate cousin of Scarlette Knight, Delaynie is an unwilling member of the S.C.. Hated by her cousin for her beauty and genuine kindness, she has been trapped on the wrong side the war since the beginning. Before the war she was in love with man named Victor Reeves who is now the General of the V.P. army, as often as she can Delaynie sneaks out to meet him across the Hudson River that divides the two armies, with the help of her dear, crazy friend, Victoire. She is a very virtuous and kind young women, always willing to help those in need or cheer people up. Delaynie is also very religious and has often been called a saint by those who have meet her.
Violet Hill: A very beautiful and talented artist with a very large amount of shockingly red hair. Out of poverty and fear, Violet fled soon after the war began to the abandoned Liberty Island, were she lived in the Statue of Liberty for approximately three years. After she was almost mad from the loneliness of the island she decided to finally join the V.P. army. When she reached the V.P headquarters in New Jersey the council decided to utilize her artistic abilities and send her into S.C. territory as a spy, she would work as Scarlett Knight's Personal artist meanwhile sending secret messages in her paintings back to the V.P.. Almost the minute she arrives at V.P. headquarters she catches the eye of the V.P. leader, Tristan St. Claire who falls madly in love with her and is terribly sad to see her go. Violet is very shy and innocent looking, but rather brave and confident in her abilities, While in S.C. territory she must dress and act the part so she is naturally schooled briefly by Artemis in the ways of the wealthy.

COMIC

I wrote a story a while back that I'm a tiny bit obsessed with... These are the characters, the heroes, the bad asses. One day I might have it all in writing, but for now just enjoy the occasional painting/drawing of "This Is War".
